On Thursday, November 24th, Bayut hosted the knockout finale of their Football Tournament also known as the ‘Clash of the Real Estate Titans’. It was a very entertaining event that culminated in some of the biggest rivals in the real estate market battling it out for the one-of-a-kind Bayut trophy. Here’s how it all went down in 10 images.
A great venue – like the Thursday before with Bayut’s Group Stages, the Knockout Rounds were set at JLT’s hottest sports venue Sportsmania. In addition to players from top real estate agencies in Dubai, various audience members came to root for their teams, such as the CEO of PH Real Estate Myles Bush (pictured below in the middle with blue shades).
Good banter – as usual with Bayut’s events, there was a host (Melissa) to welcome all the players and guests and ease them in into the venue. At the start, Melissa made sure there was good banter and all-around fun on-camera interviews. Ashley Shackell from Core Real Estate provided us with some great comic relief, as did the team at Dacha, For Est Real Estate and others.
Good hosting – the Bayut boys participated in the event themselves and even won a game, while Bayut’s girls were there to cheer for their perspective clients. In a question about fitness and how important it is for company culture, the CEO of Bayut Haider Ali Khan (pictured in the middle right) said: “These events are an opportunity to make friends with our clients in a much more casual manner. We’re just having a ball out here!”
The excitement – during the Group Finals the previous week, Espace and Engel & Volkers demonstrated that they were capable of coming on top. But this time the boys from Clarke & Scott managed to beat both Aspen’s (3:0) and Dacha’s teams (3:1), while the McCone group showed similar promise winning 8:3 against MJB Real Estate and 4:2 against Espace. However, in the semi-finals of Knockout Stages, both Clarke & Scott and McCone lost to PH and haus & haus, respectively.
The finals – upon arrival to JLT, haus & haus Real Estate Broker said into the camera (and very assuredly at that) that they would lift the trophy, hence all eyes were on them. After winning each individual game, they found themselves in the finals with one of their biggest rivals PH Real Estate. The PH boys gave a truly powerhouse performance, but haus & haus still scored a triumphant 3:0 making their promise a reality.
Lifting the Bayut trophy- As part of their award, Haus & Haus Real Estate were handed the winner’s trophy by the CEO of Bayut, Haider Ali Khan himself while each of the players received generous cash prizes. The agency’s victory is proof of confidence being key and team spirit playing a big part in a tournament like this, as well as company culture.
The winner’s speech – Upon receiving the award, the captain of the winning team Sam Hitchcock said ‘It’s an amazing feeling. The Group Stages were terrible, we lost every game. Today we played against Powerhouse (PH Real Estate) who were probably the hardest team we played in the whole of the league. Well done, lads! It’s nice to come to the finals and actually win it. Come on haus & haus!!!”

We hope you guys continue your stellar performance both on and off the field!
