Apartments
Most of the expats prefer renting apartments in Dubai because they are usually more affordable as compared to villas and townhouses. Per search hits targeting individual localities in October 2016, Dubai Marina was found to be the top locality for renting apartments. The locality took home 13% of the total searches attributed to rental apartments in Dubai in the said month.
The home of world’s tallest residential block was followed by Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT) in terms of popularity. The locality secured 7% of search hits. With 6% search hits, Al Nahda landed the third spot while Downtown Dubai secured the fourth spot with 5% search hits.
The fifth most popular locality in Dubai during September 2016 was Bur Dubai, which accounted for 5% of total search hits.
Villas
Villas are a favourite with families living in Dubai as they provide an ideal setting for raising children. During October 2016, Mirdif was the most popular area for renting villas in Dubai with 15% of the total search hits. It was followed by Dubailand with 11% search hits and Arabian Ranches with 7% search hits.
Al Barsha and Umm Suqeim followed Arabian Ranches, each securing 6% search hits and landing the fourth and fifth spots, respectively.
Offices
For offices, Business Bay received the most queries with a major 30% share of searches targeting rental spaces in the emirate. The second spot went to JLT that received 18% of the search hits. It was followed by Sheikh Zayed Road, which received 10% of queries and Deira, which received 7% of the total search hits related to office spaces available for rent in October 2016. The fifth most popular locality for renting offices in Dubai was Deira with 4% of the total search queries.
